Today, 8th December 2011, Twitter announced a major redesign and the introduction of a host of new features.
They include the much talked about Brand Pages, allowing commercial organisations to promote a much more powerful face to the public. Twitter has chosen a number of 'launch partners' for brand pages, including American Express, Best Buy, Bing, Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, Dell, Disney, General Electric, Hewlitt-Packard, Intel, JetBlue, Kia, McDonald’s, Nike, PepsiCo, Staples, Verizon Wireless, NYSE Euronext, Heineken, Subway and Paramount Pictures.
You'll see the changes roll out over the coming weeks but in the interim you'll be able to see many of them on the mobile versions of Twitter, Tweetdeck and the Twitter app on the Apple iPhone platform.
