Only 2 months after acquiring social media channel Instagram for over $1 billion, Facebook has rolled out the first update to the software.
The first thing we've noticed is a speed difference. It's certainly quicker.
Perhaps the most noticeable feature from a functionality perspective is improved integration with Facebook. Open Graph inclusion means you can now post all the photo's you've liked directly to your Facebook account. If you're the administrator of a Facebook brand page you can post directly from Instagram without leaving the app.
The Popular tab has been replaced by Explore, allowing you to search for other Instagram users. You can still access the most popular posts from within the tab too, so the functionality of its predecessor isn't lost.
They've also simplified access to your camera roll. You now simply hold the camera button and your pictures will be displayed (previously this was a two click operaiton).
