Have you ever wondered if there was a proven, scientific method of tweeting to really get you the results you want? Well Dan Zarrella, of HubSpot, has come up with just that.
The scientist of social media, as he is fondly known, has discovered, against popular opinion and execution, that the best place to add a link to tweets is nearer the begninning.
The common assumption is that links were best placed at the end of tweets. However, the click through rate (CTR) for over 200,000 analyzed tweets resulted in highest for links that were at around 25% through the tweet.
This is a very interesting experiment, and one that will make us monitor our own tweets in the future, to see how the placement of links affects the CTR. Let us know what you think by commenting below.
