The BBC has taken a huge leap into further endorsement of Facebook by releasing a BBC Sport app for the social media platform.
Facebook users can now watch live streams of Wimbledon with the app that you'll find by searching Facebook for "BBC Sport" and looking at the results under the App section.
However, Wimbledon coverage being streamed live is nothing compared to the fact you'll be able to watch 24 live streams of the full London 2012 Olympics games using the app!
The app allows Facebook users to watch events (live streams) with friends and chat about them as they're watching too (the chat function will only become available when the Olympics coverage starts).
As you'd expect, streams can be Liked or Shared with your group of friends.
The launch is further proof of the BBC embracing social media channels in a way that few other media channels have done and they continue to lead the field in the release of live stream technologies on social media - much the same as they did when they first released the iPlayer product onlilne.
