LinkedIn has added an interesting new feature that gives the ability to upload PDF documents and Powerpoint presentations directly to your feed.

In the past, LinkedIn has allowed you to upload a number of filetypes to your profile. They can be inserted into various sections but posting an update to your feed with PDF's and Powerpoint presentations is a new addition.

However, you can also upload them to Groups, a feature we suspect will see many group Administrators seeing an increase in moderation tasks. It's a useful and welcome addition if used appropriately.

LinkedIn say it'll help users spark further conversation and we're not about to disagree on that. It was always an odd omission from the feature set as it developed but we're pleased to see it introduced.
